Journal: What is your opinion of “love at first sight”?
Write 1-2 paragraphs.

Here's an invaluable resource for Romeo and Juliet. It's the entire play with a modern translation on the side (two columns). It really helps. I recommend that you read through the summary as homework and then we'll read the original in class every day.

2 pages double-spaced typed or two and a half pages single spaced legibly hand written
Explain how Odysseus follows the pattern of the hero's journey. (Or, you may do this 2 page paper on a movie that follows the pattern.)
Here's what's due on Monday:
1 page rough draft of movie that follows the hero's journey pattern
1 page rough draft showing that Odysseus follows the hero's journey pattern
2 page EXPANDED AND REVISED final draft of one of the two essays. (10 points for each rough draft, 20 pts. for typed essay = 40 pts. total)
